Ciao! (a shift from my usual hello or greetings)

Well I have a whole lot on my "plate" right now thus the title. I am truly sorry for not posting but I always keep thinking about posting... :( So many ideas to share so little time. I've been up writing a paper. I have to prepare for a production. I need to read some assigned articles. I have a shoot (both a photoshoot and one that I might just inflict on myself if I get too exhausted).

I miss blogging I have much to share. I am almost over my hell week once it is done I shall BOMBARD all of you with "smart ass" posts. Hahaha! Like the word play?

Marriage Bells!!!

hello!

So marriage used to be very sacred, the be all and end all of relationships. Once you're in it you're in it for life. But now a days we are so comfortable about annulment or legal separation, or worse... Divorce. Yes I believe in  being personally happy and not letting your partner take that happiness away from you. But what about couples who already have kids? It is the most selfish thing to do. To separate because you can no longer stand each other and let your children deal with your situation as well. Now why have I come across this topic? I'm not writing this post to bash or rant on separation and all that crap I just want people to realize how comfortable we are about separation and the word married.

On FaceBook, which I am sure most of you have, there is a relationship status information on every persons information page that tells your friends whether you are single, dating, married, or in a complicated situation or what not. What tics me off is when couples as in "dating couples" change their statuses as "MARRIED" even if they aren't even engaged! Then when they break up it's like nothing ever happened! See what I mean? I'm sure a good number of you have friends who do this or have experienced this.

We take marriage so lightly now a days. We are so consumed in finding that perfect love that we rush into things at the height of our infatuations in a relationship that we tend to forget to asses everything we do, our feelings, our partner, our relationship and even our selves. A lot of us dwell to much on the high of the moment that we don't leave space for a possibility of imperfection, distrust, dishonestly... Heartbreak.

Now I'm not being pessimistic here or anything! I for one am a very positive person and I am not whining because I have a sucky relationship, I AM TRULY and DEEPLY happy (almost to the point of ignoring heartaches) but I am just saying. :) Take a minute to think about what I said. Are you the type of person who thinks that every single girl or guy that comes your way is "The One" to the point that you declare to the entire online social networking world that you are "as-good-as-MARRIED"? Or are you the person who takes your relationship as what it is, a very healthy and happy relationship that you can see going into something more serious in the future but at present isn't quite there yet?

Till my next post! :D
